Academy Academic Programs Summary:
The Basic Computer Skills and Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills programs are the first and second 6-week components of the Office Information Coordinator and Client Support Technician programs respectively. Qualified graduates of the Client Support Technician Program, or comparable external programs, are eligible to enroll in the Academy's Computer Support Specialist program. Both the Client Support Technician Program and Office Information Coordinator Program include a minimum 40 hour internship, while the Computer Support Specialist/A+ for Technicians Program includes a minimum apprenticeship of 480 hours.
The Computer Support Specialist Apprenticeship program provides 16 weeks of real world work experience in the technical support industry as well as advanced level preparation for CompTIA’s A+ Certification. A+ Certification is an industry recognized credential that certifies the competency of PC Service Specialists. The program is backed by over 50 major computer hardware and software manufacturers, vendors, distributors, resellers, and publications. The Academy is an active and contributing member of CompTIA.
